Kanye West is a pompous midget punk, headlining his own $2 cheap trick pop act, whose credit limit is near its max.

Apparently, his oft praised (and sadly deceased mother) either didn’t teach him anything about how to be a real man, or his attention span has failed his mother’s memory.

I’ll admit his craft is well honed and he has a huge fan base (myself previously included), but his lack of humility for his blessings, and utter disregard for his fellow musicians, should give rise to the notion that he needs to be thrown under the bus by the entertainment industry. People who enjoy his music, can’t bring themselves to fully embrace him any longer because of his flagrant and belligerent outbursts.

At last evening’s MTV Video Music Awards, when Taylor Swift won for “Best Female Video” for her hit song, “You Belong With Me”, she graciously and humbly accepted the award (MTV doesn’t usually give out VMA’s for country music) by saying, “I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day. I never thought it would happen.”

Then West jumped up on stage and grabbed the microphone from her, saying, “Hey Taylor, I’m really happy for you, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

Now I know this particular awards show is never without controversy; that’s part of its enduring ‘charm’, but this guy has absolutely no scruples, and respect for his fellow artists. I applaud MTV officials for instructing him to leave the show and the building immediately after his ignorant comments.

I applaud Beyonce in accepting her award for “Video of the Year”; she brought Ms. Swift back up on stage to give her a chance to finish her acceptance speech.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to delete all of the Kanye West music I have saved in my iTunes/iPod.

Kanye, you may have apologized, but that’s not good enough. I say we protest his ignorance where it will hurt him the most – his wallet. Boycott his records and speak out against his ungentlemanly, ‘street’ conduct.

Kanye, you are passé-ye!
