Arkansas congressman, Billy Don Deedler, has been indicted on eight counts of failing to disclose $42,000 in gifts. The high-ranking congressman is due to face a federal judge this week who will determine where and if Deedler can travel outside the mountain holler of his home district and Washington, D.C.Details of the indictment include a long list of suspicious gifts, or what investigators are categorizing as ‘bribe-like incentives’. One of the incentives suspected was a pay-for-play plan in which the congressman offered his vote on certain Arkansas industry projects in return for free renovations on his über-luxurious multi-mobile-home-mansion in the Ozark Mountains. Some of the renovations include extensive landscaping, a heated cement pond and a guest outhouse with an aluminum-plated toilet seat.
The multi-level mansion, comprised of seven lavish mobile homes, that includes the Rolls Royce of double-wide trailers, The Coach Master, is said to be worth in the neighborhood of $11,500; an amount far greater than the annual salary of most of the congressman’s constituents.
The House Ethics Committee is looking further into the matter to determine if the congressman had accomplices in what they are calling the “mobile mansion scheme”.

That that is moving on up....
(Only in Arkansas-would that be palatial!)
